It's suitable for both tethered Type 1 wallbox cables and portable charging equipment, giving the vehicle connector a dedicated place to dock when it isn't connected to the car.

If your charging plug is Type 1 / SAE J1772, this is the correct holder. It is not designed for Type 2 vehicle connectors, which use a different plug shape and require a Type 2 holder.
